Clint Eastwood, William Boyd, and others.
Any time I see them on their horses, I think about
Calamity Jane and Buffalo Bill.
At the other side, it also
Calls to my memory
Billy the Kid, Jesse James, and others.
Today, the school killers are making headlines.
Jonesboro killers, Arkansas killers, and so on.
I questioned U.S. history to have an answer
I found none.
In the past, even the outlaws had a sense of
respect.
The ñrst amendment told me about
The ultimate right for all to possess arms
For defense, not as toys for children.
I think it’s time to teach today’s kids
The essence of dignity and respect.
They should clearly understand
The difference between these values;
Self-defense, murders, and assassinations.
